About

For those of you who still wondering, yes, my name is Ilia Frenkel. I was born in 1977 in one of the former Soviet Union republics called Moldavia (now Republic of Moldova). A year later my parents and I moved to Russia where I spent my childhood and grew up.

In 1997, after finishing university studies, I moved again, now to Israel. That was the time when my adult life begun. I went to college to study Software Engineering and Industrial Management. During my time in college I started to work as QA Engineer – not a very trendy profession at that time. Since than my life was pretty much straightforward – work and fun, work again and even more fun. During one of my vacations I went to Thailand (very interesting country by the way) and on one of the islands took a scuba diving course. Up until today diving is my hobby. In 2006 I met my future wife and my life had changed. I started to travel much frequently than I used to both in Israel and abroad. I was in Jordan, Holland, Czech Republic, Australia and few other places. Eventually, in March 2008, we’ve got married. Soon after our marriage we made a decision to move to Australia and my current place of residence is Melbourne. Melbourne is a nice place to live, people are nice, weather is not too bad and I just became a father. So, I’m pretty happy with my life, so far…
